I swear I don’t mean this in like a condescending way although maybe I do but the fact that the big controversy on tumblr rn is “do writers put symbolism into their writing or did english teachers make that up” is really bringing home for me the fact that you guys really are all in 10th grade

quit using pictures of kids for your aesthetic blog
quit posting/reblogging pictures of sick or injured children
quit posting/reblogging pictures of sleeping children
quit posting/reblogging pictures of crying children
quit posting/reblogging pictures of CHILDREN, someone’s CHILD, with vent text/glitter text about YOUR trauma, especially sexual trauma
quit posting/reblogging pictures of kids unless it’s a family photo you absolute fucking freaks
especially kids holding cigarettes/doing adult things. i’ve seen so many pictures of kids holding cigarettes or pipes or bongs on people’s blogs. turns out one of those pictures, which i’ve seen a handful of times on various aesthetic blogs, was part of a C/P collection. the girl in the photo was murdered.
quit posting/reblogging pictures of children. i don’t care if it’s for coping. i don’t care what trauma you had. keep pictures of someone’s baby, someone’s child, off of your aesthetic blog you sketchy, creepy motherfuckers.
(this clearly is about a certain type of photos, not stock images, so don’t even try)
only time this may be ok is if there is artistic context that the subjects of the photo obviously consent to and are aware of such as for an art gallery and it is not altered further with personal context. otherwise yeah this is a strange practice and is absolutely invasive
